Civil Rights

Civil rights-related litigation involves legal disputes in which a party/parties seek monetary damages or specific performance. In layman’s terms, any legal dispute that does not fall under criminal law is dealt with under civil law. Unlike criminal law, which deals with offences against the state, civil law focuses on wrongs against individuals and facilitates compensation for affected parties.
The scope of civil law is multifarious, extending to contracts, property disputes, family law matters (such as divorce and child custody), personal injury claims, and more. To make it easier for our visitors to understand, we have further classified civil law into sub-sections.
Civil rights-related litigation in this section covers everything related to transactions and disputes of property in any form — land, car, motorcycle, phone, etc. — including landlord-tenant disputes, zoning and land use issues, and boundary and easement disputes.
